Schools of Sanctuary in Belfast and Derry/Londonderry received their School of Sanctuary Awards over the past week.
Members of our monitoring teams visited each of the schools along with staff from the Education Authority and The Executive Office (Urban Villages) to present their School of Sanctuary Award.
This year the awards have gone to nursery schools. It was such a pleasure visiting each of the schools to meet staff, parents and children. There were the cakes of course, and luckily we got photos of them before they were devoured!
Many, many thanks to the hard work the Intercultural Service of the Education Authority have put into preparing these schools for the award.
